About exercise your faith and the eyfpodcast
This is us
For the past 30 years Dave Mac Donald has shown up at Fillmore Middle School every school day not knowing what each day would bring but resting in the fact that each day would be different than the last. In this time he has honed his skills as an expert negotiator, facilitator and most importantly as a motivator. He has always recognized that if you can get self-conscious 13 year old kids to run in circles, do jumping jacks and sweat in 90 degree heat your motivational skills are off the charts. You can have all the training certifications in the world (Dave has about 10) but if you can't get people to do what you want them to do they are just words on a paper.
Most importantly though what Dave has learned to do is listen to kids and to help them figure out where they are at today and help them discover their purpose for tomorrow. Since adults are really just big kids he has also used these skills to help 100's of adults to also discover their passions and purpose through leadership roles at work, at church and now through the Exercise Your Faith Podcast. He had always told his wife Karen that after he retired from teaching he wanted to go into ministry never realizing at the time that that he already was in ministry doing what God wanted him to do right where God wanted him to be.
Dave is the husband of an amazing wife named Karen and is the proud dad of his daughter Kelsey and his son Trevor. While Dave is far from perfect he no longer tries to concern himself with the thoughts of this world as he knows who he is in Christ. As Romans 8:1 says, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
James Cummings lives and grew up in the small town of Fillmore California. There he lives with his beautiful wife and two teenage daughters who are blessed in Christ Jesus! James has been Middle School teacher for 21 years. During that time he has taught many different subjects, but more importantly he has taught young people to work as hard as they can, have respect for themselves and others, and to appreciate the blessings that they do have. As a football and basketball coach James has motivated athletes to strive towards greatness and to not settle for being average.
James’s first encounter with the Lord came at the age of 18 where he dedicated his life to Jesus. Since that day, James has been growing in his relationship with Him. Over the last few years James has felt a strong calling from the Lord to go deeper in his service to The lord. As a licensed minister, his goal is to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Including areas such as prison, youth outreach, sports ministry, hospital, and any other area God calls him to serve.
The Eyfpodcast has been a blessing because it allows James and Dave to reach more and more people each day. The goal of the podcast ministry is to give hope and encouragement by sharing the Gospel of Grace and the power of the testimony. James loves to teach about healing and knowing who we are in Christ. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;” Revelation 12:11
